Wow! I’ve finally arrived at the famous and the most beautiful city in Italy, called Venice! I stand in front of this beautiful architectural marvelous building, surrounded by the hustle and bustle of Noble men, citizens and the boatmen singing out from their gondolas, calling out to the people. Venice has a very distinguished transportation that uses long narrow boats called ‘Gondolas’. As I walk along the bridges, the boatman wave and beckon me to take a ride on the swan shaped gondolas. Admiring the dome shaped buildings, I see the Venetians, consisting mainly of three different classes namely Nobles, priests and the general citizens. Walking around the piazza, a common square and a prominent meeting place for men, I see them discussing about family matters and business. Very few women are noticed walking the streets. Most of them are seen wearing a very tight corsets, hoop skirt and high heel wooden shoes. Although it gives them a very svelte figure, I’m sure these outfits must be quite uncomfortable. I notice some women wearing veils, probably they are Noble women who are prettier and fair skinned. They need the veils to protect their faces from sunlight. Palazzos, the grand buildings, with stunning balconies, are the customary viewing area for women to sit and watch the city life. It is so gorgeous! Venice has abundance of interesting and attractive scenery.
